"Matsuri" by Fujii Kaze
After reading about Fujii Kaze in the previous blog post, I wanted to hear his music since I hadn't done so before. I watched/listened to his music video "Matsuri," once without subtitles and then again with English subtitles. I wanted to see if I could understand the video without subtitles and then check to see if my interpretations were a bit accurate.
The song was about how everything is okay and to not worry about things that don't go right and every day should be celebrated, like a festival. The song in general was good and I liked the beat.
I think that it is a bit difficult to pick up familiar words in songs because of how the artist can change the phonetics/use it to match their beats, but I was able to pick up a few words throughout the song. Without the subtitles, I got the impression that the song was about just celebrating every day like a festival, and I think I was partly accurate. However, I think that watching the music video also helped me interpret the meaning of the song and what he was saying. I am still not sure what the artist was truly trying to convey, but that is what I was able to pick out from my perspective.
「まつり」は私がたぶん一番好きなふじいかぜのうたです!!!ビデオも大好き❤️
